Club up for sale?

At this point KLD could flip it for a huge profit and as a businessman with no affiliation to the club or area, he'll rightly be listening to offers, as we all would if we were in his position.

That statement is the furthest thing away from an actual denial as you could get. It's pure PR.

The counter point is that he's a bit of a one off owner. He's a trust fund baby that did a degree in club ownership (or some shit like that). He's not your usual scoundrel in it to flip the business for a profit.

I'd have thought he'd have longer term ambitions in football to purchase/run Marseille, but that isn't on the cards any time soon. If that was there then he'd bin us off in a heartbeat. You can only hope we fluke another decent owner.

I’ll be honest I’ve been expecting some kind of investment, most likely American, since we got promoted. But I doubt it means KLD is going anywhere yet. Big difference between investment in say 30% of the club and a full on takeover.

The change in club structure with KLD handing over day to day running of the club to a CEO and making all decisions at a board level is a structure that will be more appealing to someone coming in and buying part of the club.

Interesting, I wonder if some of these business first fans second decisions lately could be linked to them thinking that they won’t be here in x amount of time so who cares if they annoy the fans. Protecting their asset would be the biggest concern

It's not an unknown source like. Ed Malyon has been around for ages and was high up at the Athletic most recently. The ITK stuff on here is always bollocks of course.
