Harvey Elliott

He would be a minimum of £30 million, probably a lot more and after we sign some right wingers he would be competing in a midfield of Le Fee, Diarra and Rigg. So no...it doesn't work unless we lose one of those.

Because it's still up to Liverpool where he goes and they'll just offer him to another club.

I'm not convinced his contract expires this summer either, where did you get that info? He signed a 5 year contract extension in 2022.

My bad. I looked on Transfermarkt for his contract end date but forgot that it shows when his loan contract ends, not his Liverpool contract.

This is why I shouldn't post before my first coffee!

Why you need more than one player in each position Elliot would be a better 10 than diarra and can also play right I feel diarra would be better as a box to box midfielder competing with Sadiki
dont fink he's coming. not suit our system right
How we are desperate for a goalscoring 10
Someone that can shoot

Signed by a man no longer at the club (Monchi) as part of the worst transfer window we have had in years alongside Sancho and Guessand.

Buendia coming back and playing well hindered any chance of more game time but there were were two other, main reasons:

1. We owe Liverpool 10mil if he played 10 games and

2. He is absolutely terrible. At least he has been whenever he has had a rare opportunity.

Maybe he just needs to be at another club, that but he certainly isn't top half Prem level atm.

Mind you, Buendia returning and playing lights out has been an amazing bit of work by Villa!

I haven't seen anything at all since he joined us to suggest he is wrong tbf.
The operative part of that being that you haven't seen him because Emery doesnt want to trigger the clause

Is Malen crap too?

Yes you are right it's 35 mil.

But we have seen him. He has played several games and never looked anywhere near the level required.

But as I said, maybe he just needs to be at a different club.

Not really enough to conclude he is terrible though...and at a time when Villa were all struggling for form
