Me and my son are coming up for the Chelsea game. Wondered if you knew of any places we could stay for night of the game?
We are struggling to find anywhere close by.

Sea Hotel in South Shields has rooms for £61. Opposite the fair, easy enough to jump on the E1 right outside to and from the match.

Seems plenty of an availability in Sunderland on booking.com pick of the bunch for me would be the Seaburn inn. I’d be booking that.

Just happened to be looking at that weekend myself. Best value would be Newcastle, Copthorne has fair prices that night, 78 twin on booking. The only problem is you might be mixing with Chelsea fans on the metro, unless you go to the match early and come back later.
