SAFC - Fan Ban & Ticket Cancellations

Posted this on the other thread but this one could take off so will out it here aswell.

Is there going to be more in depth reporting on this?

It mentions the people with the cancelled newcastle tickets and then nothing else. So what was said?

It then talks about case by case basis to find a solution. Its not clear but is this about the corporate downgrades?

Not your fault but thats an appallingly written statement.

Should it not be becs issueing any updates on this rather than you plastering on every thread?

Good luck to those disgracefully effected.

That's my fault. The statement was published while I was driving to training last night. I stuck it on the other thread quickly before my class but couldn't find this thread before it started. I was going to look for it after class but it had already been done for me.

I’m pleased for him. It was absolutely disgraceful what the club were trying to do.

I think it just goes to show the desperate measures the club will stoop too in order to try and fill overpriced corporate stuff.

Sounds promising hopefully it will apply to to all the corporate guys who wanted to downgrade
Will need to be done on a case by case basis

Otherwise - and I think this was in the clubs thinking to some degree - if you’re after a general admission season ticket but are say #15000 on the waiting list you could buy a corporate season ticket for one year, then switch to general admission the next year and effectively you’ve paid to jump the queue

As usual the club tried a one size fits all, sledgehammer to crack a nut approach - when this requires nuance and judgement for each case. But you can see the logic in some ways

So you just check people purchase history.
No one wants anyone to game the system but at the same time, I'm sure no one wants to effectively fuck over people that have attended years and for one reason or another merely wants to drop from corporate.
If nothing else it discourages anyone from trying it for a year or two because they'll be fucked if they then wanna revert to standard tickets.

Maybe the club could advertise corporate as the hotel california upgrade, easy to check in but you can't leave

Pretty simple to put it into the terms and conditions for 26/27 season and onwards that any new seasons ticket buying directly into coorperate areas won't be allowed to downgrade in future seasons

I agree entirely
