I’d describe Aricadore as a woman yesWomen?
We should send all our players out with hair extensions for the next 3 games.Wasn't going to change. Ballard's was a minor contact so expect more to come. Though you can bet your bottom dollar instances will be ignored. Brobbey with long hair would spell big trouble to CHs.
Seriously?Clearly the demand for this new rule has come from certain cultures who like longer hair and the FA are terrified to do anything.
It’s clear that players with long hair have whined about it in the first place for it to become an issue. Where else would it come from? The simple answer would be to tell them “tie it up” but no doubt they haven’t got the balls to do that.Seriously?
I used to believed some conspiracy theories when I was 10, fortunately I think I may have matured a bit since then.
Would make a pointWe should send all our players out with hair extensions for the next 3 games.
A Sunderland win on Saturday, and you would'nt have posted this. Was anyone surprised with the direction of a travel of football? That direction of travel is very much heading towards "gone".
A Sunderland win on Saturday, and you would'nt have posted this.
Your pretentious 'direction of travel' shite would be cancelled.
100% Jasper. (on this occasionPretentious? Moi?

Spot on live watching it my wife who knows nothing about Football said why is he getting sent off? I said hair pulling she said really I don’t see anything wrong with the incident. The fact VAR saw something makes me mad. Referee didn’t see any live no one except VAR.Absolutely spot on.
Ban will be upheld but Ballard will be the last to be done for it. We may see it reduced to two games but I doubt it.
Two things really piss me of about the red card:
For violent conduct there surely has to be intent. There clearly was not obviously intent to pull the lad’s hair, he was grabbing his shirt (hair got in the way). Not deliberate. A bit like usually VAR will analyse a flailing elbow when two players jump for a ball. You can tell intent from accidental.
2. Why did VAR get involved? Was it a clear and obvious error, ie did the ref miss an intentional act of violent conduct?
No. Had the ref seen it, interpreted it as deliberate and sent Ballard off, I don’t think it would have been overturned.
But he didn’t. And it wasn’t. It was a shocking VAR intervention.
