Biggest away following for league game


Surely its gotta be a game when the terraces were standing. Dont think we've ever had over 10 thou sitting. We had a canny few down wigan one year. Was that barnsley game over 10 thou? Does wembley playoff final against wycombe count? Over 40 thou there.

Villa in '75 for me. Absolutely massive turn out as @Dreadnought says, must have been near 20,000. Set off early on Farringdon club bus and was pissed before we even got there at about 11.00. Can't remember anything about the game.

I never even got in. Stood on a grassy knoll listening to the crowd, really pissed off. It was nuts. Gates locked very early that day.
 
Around 10k at Old Trafford for the league cup
Semi is the biggest of a game I’ve been at, though Barnsley as others have said was big too, no ideas of the numbers for that one though.
