What do we need to do to improve next season?

I think we'll lose more players than many think. It's pretty likely that Ballard, Sadiki, Roefs, Le Fee, and Brobbey will all be on the shopping list of clubs in the ECL. Very hard to keep them if there's determined interest, plus there's another group of players who'll be keen to move for first team football - Patterson, Isidor, Mayenda, Mundle etc. The club also has decisions to make on a few players who haven't set the world alight and still have good resale value - Adingra being the obvious one, but also Talbi and Diarra.

Could be a bit of a rebuild if even half of that happened.

Ideally we sell a few squad players and make bank on 1 or 2 first teamers, but you have to assume that there are few agents attached to our squad who are looking for a payday.

We need a Xhaka understudy/heir, 2 wingers and another striker.

Probably another CB too if we want competition right across the pitch.

Get Moses to be our new coach.

It’s going to take a mammoth Herculean effort to improve. And I don’t think another summer will improve us. It won’t be done in a single summer. We need several more summers of big improvements to be able to say we are as big and as good as clubs like West Ham United.

We need first of all 3 or 4 top notch strikers who are guaranteed to get goals every week. We need the same again in each of the other positions.

West Ham look like they could be playing in the Championship next season.

Ideally we want to be aiming higher than that.

If we let go of as many as you've mentioned there, we'll be getting relegated before Christmas.

It was crazy how quickly the team gelled this season, to think we could just do something similar again would be very foolish.

The only way we're progress is to build on what we've got, not rip it apart to start again.

Minimum needed *before* anyone is sold:
Left Back
Centre Back
One Winger each side
A DM capable of being Xhaka's backup/long-term replacement.

I think we are going to lose Sadiki, Isidor and maybe one other, plus of course Gerty who isn't ours. So replacements for all them too.

We need more strength in depth at centre half (sorry Luke). We need competition at left back, two new productive wingers and another centre forward, plus replacements for any potential sales (Sadiki, Roefs, Brobby, Ballard etc). It's going to be a key summer, we are bottom 4 on post New Year form. It's a tough ask to consolidate and improve in the premiership.

That's thoroughly depressing.
A new CB to challenge Alderete.
A back up CDM to Xhaka.
Another CM to help Sadiki.
Wingers for both sides (good ones, not just more numbers)
At least 1 striker.
LB to challenge Reinildo.
I've a horrible feeing that there'll be a few away in the summer, including Xhaka.

If players want away and we are getting decent offers, there's not much we can do.
It's pointless hanging on to players who make it clear they want to leave.

We need at least 4 good 1st team players, before any sales of 1st teamers. back up gk. Couple of squad.
Right Winger, 1MF, 1 striker / CF Defender. A couple of players that are fans favourites need to be pushed back from 1st team to subs.
People who think we need a couple of players are way off the mark, unless we want to struggle the whole season.

Keeping this squad will likely mean a tougher season. Breaking up this squad will likely mean relegation. This season has been remarkable and should be cherished. Would snap your hands off for 45 points next season, however that is achieved. Becoming established is the next step. It's a long and tough road.

We're blessed with a fair few players that are in short supply in football - Roefs could be a starting elite-level GK for the next 10 years, Ballard and Sadiki would be there or thereabouts in most Premier League starting XIs, Brobbey would be a useful squad option for most ECL teams - there's always a hangover to seasons like this, if we get (or are getting) a lot of interest then the smart move will be to get the business done and dusted as early as possible.

We are 13th on form since New Years day.

Based on his recent performances, some suitors might want to see Roefs for another season in the PL before they buy him.

‘Struggled’…. We were utter dog5hit
Without Xhaka this season we were relegation fodder.
It’s not the lads fault but to replace Xhaka in MF with Hume is bewildering. He’s a willing runner and happy to put his foot in but that’s it.
Dont get me wrong Xhaka is a hard act to follow for any team but RLB and team dont seem to have any plan B. Maybe Ghisolfi has a name or 2 in his black book but we need to get our skates on asap.
I think we need a better CB to play alongside Alderete. After his 3 match suspension that will be 9 games out this season, and 5 games last season. 11 games in 2 seasons due to hamstring nack.
That's not really true is it. We weren't dog shit at the Emirates despite losing 3-0. We weren't dog shit in a tough game against Liverpool.

We were very good against Burnley.

We weren't even that bad down West Ham.

We performed well for an hour without him at Elland Road.

I've seen a few detractors mention 'no plan B'. If that were true, we wouldn't have rescued so many points from losing positions.

I'm not always sure what football fans mean or expect by a 'plan B'. I know some managers are that unadaptable and stubborn, but that's never been true of Le Bris.

Find someone like Doku(obviously won’t be easy)to play on the wing. I’d love to see someone like him play for us, shame Grealish wages are so fking obscene as someone like him would be an absolute game changer.

I can dream 😎
