Losing the unbeaten home record

since diarra missed that chance to win it at the end against villa... not blaming him personally for everything that followed, but that was a proper 'sliding doors' moment.

if that goes in, i think we'd have seen out the rest of the game and been in a very strong position going into the forest game. pretty sure we'd have won one of the last two, meaning we'd have taken 6 or 7 points instead 1 point from the last 3 games.

its just how it goes, thankfully theres not a lot riding on it. if we were 5 points better off now (aye if my aunty had a cock etc...) we'd be joint 6th and it would be absolutely rocking this saturday.

i can see it being a wet fart of a game as man united are pretty much guaranteed 3rd now and will stroll through the game

Nothing seems to be going our way since that Villa miss. To come away with nothing was a right kick in the knackers.

Forest was a humiliation after bad luck with the OG and then poor mistakes.

Then cruising to a win away at Wolves halted by a ridiculous red card.

We have very little momentum heading into the last 3 matches.

I really don't think the Fulham and Brighton performances were any worse than say the Brentford or Wolves performances where we win, just the small margins went against us rather than for us. Spurs was a bit like this, we were the better team, especially 2nd half, but won the game marginally.

Liverpool were genuinely class up here, the best side at the SoL this season imo. Forest aye fair enough was a combination of disastrous defending and ruthless finishing, no defending that one.

We'll be underdogs in our next 2 games, but I think if we make both tight games, with few chances, we can win either or both. Chelsea I fancy us to win.
Bang on.
Everton are playing better than us. Man UTD are playing far better than us. Chelsea are dogshit but you feel like their form can't go on forever.

As always, I hope I'm wrang.
Irrespective of everything else, anyone with half a brain knows Man Utd, Everton and Chelsea are three very tough Premier League games for anybody.

Forest had six shots on target against us and scored five. Usually this shot to goal ratio isn’t as good. Due to this we were out of the game before we’d even started the knars

Roefs
Mukiele
Ballard
Reinildo
Xhaka
Le Fee
Traore
Angulo
Brobbey
Mundle

All missed games during that period - in most cases, multiple games spanning weeks/months.

Take away Mundle, Angulo and Traore and you've got 7 of our best players this season.

It baffles me how people don't see that taking away over half of our best players when you have a small squad to start with will impact performances and results.

In any case, if you compare Brighton with the Arsenal or Man City games then obviously there's a drop in intensity, but if you compare with other games where we got results without setting the world alight (Brentford, Wolves, Leeds, arguably Palace) there isn't really much difference.

Gerrin - I’m not at the game against Chelsea as I’m away so that’s a guaranteed 3 points too. Europe’s back on boys
If we can pick also something up at Everton, then that would make our sacrifice worthwhile! I hope everyone appreciates our selfless acts.
Got a feeling we'll beat Man Utd for some reason.
It's cos I'm missing the game. But my sacrifice will be worth the 3pts.

Jobs done, players have been flogged to death and a few will have the world cup on their minds.

Regroup in the summer, add 3 or 4 players and we go again with a stronger squad.
Hardly.

We've got 1 outfield player in the top 50 players with the most minutes played in the league. Trai Hume, 43rd on the list.

And that's without the strains of European football and significant cup runs.

Since Liverpool ended that we’ve won 1 (Spurs), lost 3 (Fulham, Brighton & Forest) and not looked anywhere near as determined to perform as we were whilst unbeaten. With that in mind, what do you reckon we’ll get from Man U and Chelsea to see the season out?

I reckon Man U will win and we draw v Chelsea.
Happy with that. 51 points. Decent.

Not doubt it will be the same people saying we'd get thumped off the mags saying we'll lose to an ordinary Man Utd...
It’s quite strange some of the negativity -I’m trying to put some of it down to the scars of the third tier campaign ?
Been a wonderful season -few seasons actually -i cannot wait for the next one -onwards and upwards ( not sure if that makes a clapper!?)

United will beat us, they're in great form..and I can accept that..

Everton depends on which Everton we get...

and we should beat Chelsea, they look lost..but we need pace against them, they struggled with Forest going at them at 100mph
