Id seriously consider sacking aways off if my loyalty points essentially counted for nothing. I love going, but if they want me to pay for the privilege of going, to be able to go to fewer aways than I currently can, I think id be very tempted to use the money on other stuff.

100% agree with that. Even with how "good" this season has been i preferred going away in the L1, Champ years. I hate so many things about the Premier League (stopping just short of saying everything) that i think next season i'll be only doing around 15 aways. Part of me is sick of it already. So much is set up to be against having a positive fan experience. Even yesterday, an old fella got thrown out of the ground by the police just for raging at the linesman. They said it was because he said the "C" word but i mean if everyone who said that word got threw out each week the grounds would be almost half full.

I asked Northern on the way over if they could “hold” the 20:00 from Carlisle to allow people to get home earlier. In fairness to Northern (the conductor I spoke to emailed his manager and made the request to help everyone) they acted on the request due to the numbers involved and they doubled capacity on the 20:00 from a 2 carriage train to a 4 carriage train. Unfortunately, the 17:32 Avanti from Wolverhampton to Carlisle was delayed so the delay request wasn’t able to be activated.

league one and the championship had some great awaydays, always been the same even going back to the third division season under denis smith which was my favourite ever season watching us.

I agree 100%, I’d just stop doing aways, thus giving in to the noisy whingers that want things changing just to suit them, gobsh!tes will have won 🙁

He was arrested in the end, offered the chance to accept being removed and leave but continued to argue/abuse the police according to the Northumbria police rep there, breach of the peace for shouting at a football match, worlds gone mad.

Bruce said a membership scheme won't allow you to jump the queue for home and away games, see if they stick to that now he's gone

I have absolutely slatted the club re: the ticket operations this summer! They have banned a branch organisor for very little. They took derby tickets off 65 loyal supporters too.

They have also refused to acknowledge that coperate season tickets are actually season ticket holders and put them to the back off the queue if they want to downgrade to normal tickets. Both are absolutely appalling decisions.

There are many examples of my thoughts on this very thread?

On this occasion I think the club have been more than generous for a lot of years. They aren't obliged to give to one charity forever. They have reached a compromise which I think is fair.

Know someone else who did similar at another team. 70 year old. Shouting at the home fans at an away, police took an dislike and got removed. Three year banning order, potentially down to two if he’s doesn’t do owt else.

Yeah. You mustve been standing next to me. The NP asked if i knew him and which seat was his. WMP claimed they were taking him out because he was upsetting people around him. Everyone immediately said they werent bothered. Coppers were after him from the start.

Away days for me for the rest of my life is just going to consist of travelling away, spending time in a pub whilst people go to the match.

I’ve just put a higher value on spending time with family and friends who I’ve got to know over numerous years.
