Durham v Middlesex [A] C.C. 1/5/26

Flippin heck. The commentator saying Middlesex have bowled with discpline to keep the run rate down to 3.9!!! 😄 In Middlesex's innings the were talking about the virtues of a 2.5 run rate.!! :p

I don't think they've bowled badly. McKinney got a jaffa and Bedingham was dropped. We've batted sensibly and punished the bad balls in the main, although our handling of the spinners could be better.

Really good to see Gay turning things into "all" after a season of "all or nothing" last season. Assuming he's good at golf (don't bite), he should be in that England team whenever they next play. Credit where it's due

You know they're going to do something ridiculous like pick Rew to open.

I didn't see much but he was having trouble and didn't look confident against the spinners. It's selfish, cos I'd like to see him bat for Durham, but I hope he isn't picked just quite yet.
