What does SAFC ambition mean to supporters

There is an incredible amount of work and planning in the background. I think we can expect to see new hires in key positions working for 2 years and being replaced. A major emphasis on US and investment from there. We are hiring incredibly driven people. I was lucky enough to be sat with new SAFC execs from California last week on the train - extremely professional and passionate about the club. The push to be relevant and global is under way and for me this means high league positions are critical and to be achieved at all costs. Awesome.

So we now comply with the Americanisation of the beautiful game 🙁

Ambition for me is always wanting to be better than we are currently. 2nd championship season aside, we’ve always finished higher in the following season that the current one under the current ownership.

Ambition in the transfer market to continually improve the squad, which again, we’ve done year on year.

Survival was ambitious this season, and we’ve achieved it. For me, the ambition should be to firmly cement ourselves amongst the mid-table pack and not even be in the relegation conversation next season.

Not sure that was the clubs ambition this season or for next. Maybe a minimum standard but the ambition is clearly stated top 10 and grow from there

Aye, KLD said aim for top 10 but that was about 4 months into the season when we’d started well.

RLB said aim for 40 points every week until we got there.

A/ In & around the European qualification spots.
B/ Top 10 and go deep into the cups.
C/ Top 12 and reach a final.
D/ Top 15 is acceptable if we win a cup.

Let’s stay humble.
