Leicester won the league in their second season.Taking Brighton as a comparison, they've been in the PL almost a decade now and were a bottom 6 side for the first 4 seasons
Just that, if we miss out on top 10 and Europe, it's not the end of the world and consolidating ourselves as a PL club may be a slow and steady process across a few seasons, in the same way as Brighton, also Bournemouth and Brentford. That said, you do get the examples of Leicester and Forest, who made much faster progressLeicester won the league in their second season.
What's your point?
We didn't lose with 10 so very unlikely with 11.If we had 11 men I dont think we would have lost today.
Re the wider point we managed to beat Newcastle with a load of injuries recently and Spurs couldnt lay a glove on us.
The team are safe now and have over achieved and our gaffer likes to use a small group of players so there will be some fatigue, plus a world cup is on the horizon.
They are less motivated. Motivation comes from the manager. Why this happens we dont know. As I said the season under regis is in thirds. Great, decent, relegation form. So far he gets the latter as last third. If that happens start or middle he will be replaced. Its no big deal he had been perfect for where we were and wanted to be. He has achieved mission. Can he take us to top 8 scoring so few goals, not unless he changes style which doesn't seem to be his way. However I dont know how more levels he has to be unlocked. This is new to him too. What do we think?
We didn't lose with 10.
Seen after, and edited a tad. The original post "if we had 11 I dont think we'd have lost today" implied a loss marra but no harm done Thunders lad.I've already qualified that post Mows
I have no doubts we'd have won.Wolves have beaten Liverpool and Aston Villa at home, also they got a draw against Arsenal, all better teams than us. As bad as Wolves are, they are still a threat. I thought a draw with having ten men was a good result. We probably would have won this with a full team.
We just don't create nearly enough to beat anybody comfortablyNeither, 11v11 we would have beaten them comfortably.
10 men for 70 mins. Away from home. Pretty obvious really.I can’t see how anyone can see a point is a good result, they’re absolutely gash. They’ve just been pumped 4-0 off West Ham, 3-0 off Leeds, even spurs beat them 1-0 and they’re a fuckin shambles.

Tell me, we're we ready for premier league football this time last season? This is why I don't want Europe qualification this season - we are nowhere near ready, squad wise, to handle it.
Your conclusion is very much correct.I can see why someone would reach that conclusion mows lad,I didnt take offence at the original reply or yours. On reflection I should have said "If we had 11 we would have won today".
My thoughts behind the OP was the sending off prevented what I thought was a likely win and despite the end result being a draw (and not win or defeat) we should take the positives.
