On the beach or sussed out?


These players have given their all for the full season, it is a brilliant achievement to stay up so comfortably....has only happened a few times in my lifetime.

We have literally had about 3 or 4 terrible performances out of 40 games, that is amazing for a newly promoted club building a pretty much new team. And this is even before we talk about f***ing over the mags twice! Brilliant season....so proud.

Modern game...I don't fully disagree with you I suppose, but don't act like things haven't changed. The rhetoric of managers and players at Prem level has talked about the wear of playing full 90s at this level (+ internationals & domestic cups) for a while now.

Our form over the last 8 games would be a 52pt season. Sucker punch with Villa, surprise collapse with NF, away draw with 10-men at Wolves and all of a sudden we are exhausted, sussed, on the beach. We would have won that easily at full strength and if any of those suggestions were true we would have parked the bus for the second half but we didn't.

Go elsewhere which he will do in the summer.
 
If we are on the beach and not trying our best, you must question the attitude of some of these players.

A few weeks ago we were in touching distance of Europe, why would you not give it a good go and try and accomplish that? It wasn't an impossible task by any stretch.

Season is over now - we move onwards come August!

I’d have sold a kidney at the start of the season to take 6 points from them kernts and be away from relegation well before the end of the season.

we’re now carrying too many fair weather expecting followers who think we’ll take the world on, if they’d been round for the camp, mclaughlin and love years they’ll soon realise how over the knot the majority of us are
 
One thing that I think is obvious, is that getting into Europe meant far more to some fans than it did to the players or the club.

Getting to 40 points was clearly the main aim this season, RLB said it after almost every game. But since we got there performances have dropped, they did before then if we’re honest. I’ve not seen a performance from many, if any, players that looks like they’re desperate to qualify for Europe.

On the “being found out”, I’m not sure it’s quite as clear as that, but teams have certainly identified our weaknesses and are exploiting them. Targeting Hume for crosses for example, it’s leading to great success for the opposition. Teams can let us play wide as our wingers are pretty shit (ELF aside, who isn’t a winger) and we create little down the sides.
