Ballard

He wasn't like. And if he was, how come he's still holding his hair when he's way above the shirt and even the head?
Difference of opinion from me. It all happened in seconds. He’s only got eyes for the ball and his hand is in and around the collar of his shirt.

Freeze framing or slowing the footage down makes it look worse, as it does with most things in football.

It was split second stuff and never an intentional hair pull.
Should appeal it

All you need to see really. Pathetic decision from the VAR. (happy to use a freeze frame when it works in my favour 😂)

I didn't say you couldn't, but you can't gauge the duration or force involved from a still image, which is why VAR shouldn't be showing one to the ref.

Question for you, did Ballard grab any shirt during the incident, or was it just the hair?

I watched in real-time first, then a replay and another one...then with the benefit of several stills you can gauge the length of time he has hold of it and how much the space between them increases whilst he still has hold.

He grabbed his body on the left side from memory, shirt and then hair.
.I thought it was an obvious hair pull tbh because he was struggling physically with him and it was a means of gaining a physical advantage, but at the time they were close and it was something that may not have been caught had he not held on when the gap between them increased making it far too obvious.

To be fair we've got away with a fair amount this season so one or two were always going to catch up with us.
