I think it was the ref that spotted it and VAR confirmed he was right rather than VAR overturning so he deserves some credit as well.
If they’d overturned it after Taylor had given it, they’d have sent him to the screen I think?

Im sure they probably checked and confirmed Ref got it spot on.
That’s definitely what happened. Otherwise, he would’ve had to go to the screen. VAR can’t give those on their own.

That decision today was criminal. It was like the VAR wanted to get Ballard sent off.
He showed the ref the only incriminating angles, and then as soon as Ballard was off we saw another angle where it was clear as day that Ballard was trying to grab whe wolves players shirt and one of his dreadlocks got in the way.
It just felt like the VAR was looking for a way to make himself the main character.

I honestly don’t think he did though. If we’re going to make a rule where any accidental pulling of har is a red card, then we need to also make a rule where all players with hair long enough to pull need to wear a hair net.
