If Leeds lose or draw tonight


By some bizarre permutation, I believe it is correct. Although if Spurs don't win on Sunday we are safe regardless of our result.

We only need a point. Surely we are winning tomorrow, but we are Sunderland after all. I'd be over the moon with top ten right now.

Go play here and click SELECT NONE and choose just the 3 teams, Leeds, West Ham and Spurs and no need to do Forest.

Select draw for Leeds v Burnley at the top and then go down the list giving the 3 teams win and try to get all 3 teams above 46 points. It's impossible and as the OP said, if Leeds don't win tonight then we are mathematically safe 😎

I know. But they probably won’t. So I am just catastrophising. I will rest easy once technically safe.

Leeds lose to Spuds & draw with Bubbles, but win there other remaining games 47 pts
Spuds win all there remaining games & get to 46 pts & Bubbles win 3 & draw with Leeds 46 pts

Probably get a 1000/1 if you fancy it

If Leeds draw tonight then beat Brentford they will be on 44 points with spurs and West Ham left to play,if they beat either spurs or West Ham they will be above us on 47 but spurs and West Ham wouldn’t be able to catch us ,if they drew with West Ham and lost to spurs Leeds would finish on 45 so would be below us ,if they beat West Ham and lost to spurs West Ham wouldn’t be able to catch us an so on and so on ,so many permutations but if Leeds don’t win tonight we are confirmed safe

Did you read the thread title? I think everyone knows it's still possible but the thread title changes what you've written.

It's the fact that many won't have realised that the Leeds game tonight can have us safe, even though Leeds could still finish above us, even if they get beat tonight, given the 3 teams still have to play each other.
