AI Overview

The standard of EFL League One (English 3rd tier) is generally considered comparable or slightly lower than the Israeli Premier League (top tier) in terms of overall quality, but higher in intensity, physicality, and financial depth. While top Israeli clubs compete in UEFA competitions, League One offers a faster, more competitive environment.

I hope the lad is brilliant for us but standout performances in the Israel League seem to be getting him far more credit than Triantis got for standout performances in the Scottish Prem.

Many posters on here said it meant nowt.

I'm looking forward to seeing a bit more of him, he looked good against Oxford and had some decent moments before he had to go off against Fulham. It would be good to get a natural winger out on the right, Rigg has done well out there but he's definitely going to be a central player rather than a winger.

That little turn on his debut was class. We need some unpredictability in the team.
The fact he started vs Fulham makes me think the club rate him and consider him fully part of the first team, regardless of how good the Israeli league is.

His Fulham performance had enough to see there’s talent but was generally poor.
You got all that in 38 mins

I would only be bothered about any of the above if he was a 24/25 year old player.

But he's basically been scouted in the Ivory Coast and moved to Israel as a 19 year old.

It's probably been recognised that he's way too good for that league and we have paid £3.5m to sign him after only 1 season there.

Obviously the step up in quality is huge, but he is probably somewhere between the two leagues in terms of quality already.

Yeah, he showed a bit of skill and potential but didn’t play well by most definitions in the time he was on. He had to go off before he was really settled but the impression was, talented but not ready. That’s not a criticism and I think he’s got real potential.

Left footed right winger who has skill and wants to take risks beating a man. He also appears to have a decent amount of pace which gives us the option of playing him in behind when up against a high press which we've been struggling with (coaches need to be drilling it into him to make those runs when there is a high line as we have plenty of other players who drop short and it causes us no end of problems getting out).

He looked like he needed to work on his defensive game especially against Fulham though so hopefully the coaches will be working on that with him too.

I'd expect he'll get minutes from the bench in the coming games and if he does well might even get some starts if RLB sees he is doing his defensive work properly. I don't think RLB is that concerned about players losing ball trying to take on a man, it's more if they don't do their defensive jobs.

AI just predicts sentences that look right based on what it's 'read'. What information could it have used to actually compare League One and the Israeli premier league?
This.

It's incredibly concerning how many tech illiterate people take these shite LLMs as gospel.

They're great for many things, but outside of NotebookLM where you curate your own information it's horse shit for reliable info.
