April 28th live footy on tv

"Hope you had a great weekend away and you’ve forgotten all about Friday night!" was the reaction of the Leeds United fan from Skelton-in-Cleveland when I arrived at work today. "I’ve forgotten all about it mate!" was my quickfire response.

S-i-C "could have been better" following their semi-final defeat on Sunday which he watched from the comfort of his armchair and was "Gutted with the goal - p### poor from Struijk". Leeds apparently just need to beat Burnley on Friday to get over the line and, although are normally a bogey team, even S-i-C is confident. Given their recent upturn in fortunes and the respective run-in's for the two teams, attention has turned back to whether they will finish above us in the league which strangely hasn't been mentioned since pre-season. "As long as we both stay up comfortably that will do for me!" was my curt and diplomatic response.

My old adversary Tearoom Expert couldn't resist; "Bit of a mauling for yous (his affectionate terminology for SAFC). Suppose forest had something to play for. Looks like a straight race between West ham and spurs now" before adding "Don’t hate me (perish the thought) but I wanted Forest to win (no $£!t Sherlock). I now want spurs relegated" (Kidology and subterfuge at it's finest eh @Frasmotic) 🤣

TE described Saturday's win as a "Good game" although the general consensus of opinion was that it arrived too little too late but a morale booster ahead of the play-offs

TE reckoned that Middlesbrough were very good in the 2nd half, Watford were probabaly the perfect team to play as they gave boro space to run into. Watford tend to do okay against boro although seem in free fall. Whittaker's freekick was very good.

My colleagues will be keeping an eye on the game down at St Mary's tonight, then see what results are to dictate the level of strength they play at Wrexham but still no word on Hackney’s availability which is a worry. They are hoping that results fall their way to make it interesting and that it goes to the last day for some excitement.

We'll see 👀 😏 😉 🤪
