Central Defender
Drove past this today just down from the Colliery Tavern, it’s on the building on the corner just before the Wheatsheaf junction.

Before the Forest game

Additionally, the Club will formally announce a new mural project ahead of kick-off which will honour Sunderland legend Gary Rowell, celebrating another iconic figure who made 297 appearances, scoring 103 times for the Black Cats.
Cheers Hetty. Rowell scored more than 1 in 3, good going that

I saw that this morning at the same stage as the photo, and my wife spent 20 minutes happily guessing what it could be. Straight away I knew it was Gary Rowell world, but kept my mouth shut as she was having so much fun, and when you get to our age you take any enjoyment you can

Great to see more football related murals etc around the town.

😂

It couldn’t be any thing else 👍🏻

Unfortunately she was hampered by not knowing or being interested in football. After 35 she knows that Sunderland play in red and white and thats probably about it.

🥰

I’ve posted this story regarding my late husband before. He was totally disinterested other than knowing SAFC mattered a whole lot to me.

Any how one night we were sitting watching the local news and Carol Malia was interviewing a chap who looked exactly like Hand of God.

He looked over at me and I thought, by golly he’s got it, then confidently turned to me and said “doesn’t he look just like

Pele” 😂🤣😂🤣

She still knows more about us and the game than more than half the plastic scummers up the road to be honest mate! 😆😆😆👍🏻
