Tom Burwell - Interim CEO Podcast

Saw Everton fans on Twitter last night discussing/complaining about a package they're selling for their away game at Spurs - train tickets to London, a night in a hotel, a river cruise along the Thames with a talk in from Reidy and Graham Sharpe and match ticket in the away end. £3k - no credits (their equivalent of loyalty points) required.

Thought it was interesting given the talk of Everton's corporate revenue.
wow
Is it not that he is a Michelin starred chef? I don't think Banks of the Wear has a Michelin star.
correct

It will be interesting to find out how many of those packages they sell.

Won't be many judging by the majority of fans on X. Ridiculous that they're trying to peddle something like that £3k when a simple look online can see it would set you back anywhere between £500-800 depending on dates, times and who you use.

Banks of the Wear. Tommy Banks is the chef, Usually around £800 per ticket.

It was we publicised before the season. There is a behind the scenes video knocking around somewhere.
Sorry my point was Banks of the Wear is not Michelin starred even if Tommy Banks owns other restaurants thay are. Quite a misleading claim although he just be ignorant as to how it works.

The thing that would get my back up would be the match ticket in the away end. I get that certain corporate clients get access to away tickets at SAFC already but it isn't as brazen as 'pay £3k to jump the queue, open to all'.

The package itself is ridiculous but I do kind of think more fool them if someone wants to pay that - anyone can book a train/hotel and if they've got that money to spare they've probably done it a million times. Similarly with corporate full stop, if you don't think it's good value you can always just go in GA instead - or you could if Sunderland allowed people to downgrade anyway. Whereas with GA etc if you don't pay the price they set thats it, you can hardly take your custom elsewhere.
