Durham v Lancashire [H] C.C. 24/4/26

121 run partnership to completely take the game away from us. We needed to be batting after Tea to stand a chance, because it’ll be very difficult tomorrow morning when the murk returns again.

It is what it is. Same happened to them yesterday with our lower order doing well. Just a ironic it's two ex Durham players hurting us. Our bowling issues have been a concern for a while, we simply don't manage the bowlers correctly and I've said this so many times on here and in person to folk, but the amount of bowling injuries we have had in recent times is nothing short of a disgrace and for me isn't just "bad luck". We've just got to keep plugging away and hope. However it did shock me the toss decision Friday.

It's a reaction brought about by frustration. I fully understand it although I haven't seen the term "mentally weak" used in this thread.
Our bowling reserves are weak and haven't been addressed.
So signing Aldridge and roach means we haven't addressed it

Feels like that this is becoming a standard situation for Durham in recent times .... rip through a top order , get into a winning position and then completely hit the wall when it comes to taking the last 3-4 wickets.
Yorkshire and Warwicks last year come to mind. Invarably Raine and Potts do damage but then the back up isnt strong enough.
Whilst I wish the lad all the best .. Coughlin playing all 4 games this season , staying fit and then piling up the runs against us is almost bordering on annoying .
