Europe or Premier league?

I'd play our strongest side for every Premier League game and rotate for Europe.

I'd even go as far as making O9 our European captain (even if Xhaka played) and try to get a bit of bond and team spirit going. Play the Europe side against the rest in training etc. Have the likes of Elborg, Isidor, Hume, Mayenda and Mundle play very regularly, give the side a bit of a spine and rotate first teamers in maybe every other game.

So you could have a side like this for game one:

Elborg

Hume O'Nien Ballard Reinaldo

Diarra Sadiki Rigg

Mayenda Isidor Mundle

Game 2:

Elborg

Mukiele O'Nien Alderete Hume

Xhaka Le Fee Aleksić

Ta bi Isidor Talbi

If we had a crunch qualifying game we could play near enough out full strength side.

Obviously we'll buy other players and others will need game time. It's doable as long as you use your loaf.

Who says we're selling anyone, if we get Europe?

It’s been openly said we need to sell to progress, whether that still applies if Europe had been achieved I don’t know… having said that you need a bigger squad hence we might still have had to sell a player to buy 3 say.

If there’s a chance of qualifying for European competition we should go for it. We still had the odd person last season saying we weren’t ready to go up etc. Always baffles me that.
It would have been a bad season if we had have went up with that squad.
None of us could have predicted this season's summer transfer window.

I mean the European cup when it was rebranded as champions league was a joke .Half the teams in it have won nowt i mean look at the Visitors never won the league since 1927 .Always thought calling Europes top competition that was daft .As we all know it was just for the coin.

It has but only by clueless nuggets like Barnes and others in the press.

We will sell at some stage but only if we get offered daft money or we decide the time is right. Our current league place is worth about £12.5M if we budgeted for 17th. Hopefully we'll finish higher, it's £2.6M per place.

Up until Friday night Forrest could have been in it next season whilst in the championship

Qualifying attracts better players, bigger sponsorship deals and bigger brand exposure across football.

You don't get to pick and choose.

See what happens, if we qualify for Europe then so be it but the league table never lies, if we deserve it we will get it. Personally I think we've had a brilliant season regardless of Europe but if I'm honest I don't think we are ready in terms of squad strength.

Ive seen Dave Jones quote it.
Logically it’s daft money that makes you sell to the big boys anyway… otherwise they are still worth more to us.
Notwithstanding any contract clauses which allow a sale if an offer is received of £xy

Dave Jones who is no longer part of the club but is part of the press...

Dave Jones the ex non executive of a few months ago who will know more than you and me.
Come on Keith… Anyone who knows anyone in the club knows we will sell if we get the right price, you said it yourself.
It will be structured ie not all the players at once etc but if an offer comes in for Roefs of £60mplus he’s probably off.

Why does it always have to be one of the other

Go up and get relegated straight away or consolidate in the championship and go up with a better squad

Win a cup or survive relegation

Beat the mags twice or survive relegation

Christ man just do our best and go for everything, that’s what it’s all about.

I agree if we get a large offer we'll sell but that doesn't mean we have to sell. We will sell when it suits us and reinvest the money to improve the whole team / squad.

That isn't the same as a fire sale of 3 players that the clown Barnes was suggesting.

It has to be for the greater long term good of the team of course

We might be fighting relegation next season whether were in Europe or not.
Totally agree. Live for today not tomorrow, I'm more confident with our dealings in the transfer window than our two promoted rivals, especially given the fact that we had less time to prepare. I'd like to think that our ambition will be rewarded but we'll have to wait and see🤞Wouldn’t it be fantastic if we ended up qualifying for Europe, maybe getting ahead of myself there mind. Games like Friday happen, bad day at office but important to remember the bigger picture, fantastic season. Hopefully we can put it behind us and win a couple of more games before the end of the season

After last night's performance and my own personal opinion from this season, I truly believe we are not ready for Europe (we weren't ready for the PL but look what's happened) if somehow we achieve this, would you rather advance into Europe or concentrate on the Premier league?
Winning Europa League would be a historic feat. Playing against legendary clubs across Europe is fantastic.
