Results Like Last Night Can Happen

Even just looking at this season, there have been similar results such as:

Bournemouth losing 4-0 at Villa
Villa losing 1-4 at home to Rosenior's Chelsea
Bournemouth losing 4-1 at Brentford
Everton losing 1-4 at home to the Mags
Palace losing 4-1 at Leeds

I've purposely removed the relegation/relegation threatened teams to show that other sides who are having decent to excellent seasons are not immune to bad days or performances either.

Of course we didn't exactly help ourselves, but other teams at this level have quality players too. Shit happens.

Yes shit happens....attitude was the worry for me.
Thought we were better second half, without really troubling Forest much. The effort to stop the 5th was non-existent.
Forest let us have the ball mate. Job was done first half.

You do get games where a team inexplicably collapses for a period of time.
For 20 minutes or so last night that was us and generally managers can’t put their finger on why it happens.
We did apply ourselves well the second half but obviously Forest took their foot off the gas and managed the game well.
It’s hopefully a wake up call for all concerned.

I don’t you’ll find many home beatings between sides so far apart mind. Most of those games are either between sides very close to each other in the league or home teams winning. A five nil away win between a team a few points off 6th and a team still in the relegation battle ain’t very common.

So nobody conceded 5

The attitude of the players was better I thought, but aye they didn’t really try to hurt us.
Yes, the attitude was a bit better 2nd half....it had to be. Although, Mukiele stsnding right next to Brobbey for the 5th and not even attemlting to get back was disgusting....he couldn't wait to get off that pitch Mukiele. If Diarra showed that attitude last night, he would have been crucified.

Are you familiar with the definition of the word "similar"?

In fairness, going into last night's game we were as close to 14th as we were to 6th.

Kinda makes my point though, I’m betting most of those games at the time were between teams way closer to each other in the league standings. We started last night ten points clear of forest.

They can happen, but let's be fair, the difference in the majority of those was 3 goals, not 5. Viewing our history shows how bad it was, certainly considering how bad we have been in recent history.
