Fans today

Good response 2nd half from those who stayed. Will never understand people leaving at half time. This team has given everything this season, at least give them a chance and a bit of encouragement.

Tourists, petulant customers… not supporters.
Second half proper fans made us proud
I couldn’t believe nordi had the brass neck to have a go at fans. We were fuckin shocking and any criticism was due

I genuinely wouldn’t have let him come back out for the second half after that, was unacceptable for me after such a horror show

He was upset and angry. Better that than players who just put their head down and hide.

The likes of Xhaka and Nordi could play any where for more money than they get here.
They want to be part of something…. We are in it together good days and bad days and he does right to remind ‘some’ fans of that.

I wish I could go on the pitch and have a go at the petulant child like Neanderthals who booed.
Hope they all left there and then and gave their season ticket up; atmosphere was better without them

I stayed till FT and even though it pained me to do it, I did not want those detestable N***ing*** F**rest supporters winning in the stands as well as on the pitch. I wanted them to go home thinking “Wow, we may have beaten those Mackem losers but those that stayed out supported us! We aren’t like that!”.

Stayed til the end (because I’m better than you, if you’re wondering).

After the first half and the justified pelters the players were getting, our fans did a brilliant job in the second. Players can’t have complaints that we gave up and stopped supporting them bar those who went early (for what it’s worth it looked like majority stayed until the VAR decision, then emptied out).

Fans did both things tonight, we let players know it wasn’t good enough but backed them in the second half when they made an effort. Doesn’t sound like happy clapping to me.

All of the cucks stayed second half. Players should have been annihilated and shown that is unacceptable at this club. Instead they were meekly clapped
"Cucks" :rolleyes:

Aye, we should have booed them and called them worse than shite, because that would have helped....

Best season in a generation, best squad we've ever assembled, best 12 months in a century and so called "supporters" think we should spit on them for having a off day.

Embarrassing

Spot on....

Couldn’t give one fuck what anyone else did or what a few on line streamers from their bedroom say.

I stayed cos despite how shite we were on the night this lot deserve more than a bit of credit for comfortably staying up after being promoted via the play offs

No problem with calling out how shite they were last night but I can also appreciate what the club have achieved this season when no one anywhere gave them a hope of staying up.

I don’t doubt they could play for bigger teams and get payed more but they don’t, they play for sunderland and probably well paid for it too

I agree that players that care are preferred to those that don’t care but when you play as shit as we did in that first half, you can’t complain when fans express their dissatisfaction. You have to take it on the chin and just walk off. Show you care by coming out and playing better and trying harder

I didn’t boo and I don’t, it doesn’t help. But I understand the frustrations of some and understand why they made their frustrations known. We’ve set a standard of how well we can play and yesterday was no where near that standard. Where we’ve been has nowt to do with that. Just because we’ve been dreadful before doesn’t mean we have to accept dreadful performances now

Just for context I’ve never given my season ticket up, watched us through the dark times but yesterday was turd

The atmosphere in the south stand from kick off to the first 3 goals was class. Fans up for it, team weren't. Never boo the team, but I'm not going to slate early leavers on a night like last night

unfortunately the media just highlight all the ones leaving late on in first half
atmosphere was very good second half, considering , but that wont get a mention

The guardian match blog a few times praised the fans tbf

58 min The home crowd, who were already making quite a racket, go up a level when the former Newcastle midfielder Anderson is booked for a foul

GOAL! Sunderland 1-4 Nottm Forest (Ballard 61)

A deserved goal for . They and their fans have been brilliant since half-time, almost absurdly so given the scoreline

Bar a few odd leavers, we were fantastic
Some were absolutely horrendous, a bit like the performance to be fair. My mate had to come down at halftime to cool down, some absolute whopper was going off it mukiele and others were joining in, arguing amongst each other who had had a season ticket for the longest. People around me in the west stand were absolute helmets.

There was a big game atmosphere before and first 10 minutes of game. Friday night and few beers had everyone well up for it. The first half however killed it.
Second half was very good especially south stand. Still sore throat when I woke up today.

He'd have handed a transfer request in there and then if that happened, the huffy fucker.

Atmosphere was great in the second half until ref and var found a reason to disallow that goal.

Thought it was a shame how many left in the first half/half time bearing in mind the season we've had but hey ho sunlun til we die and all that.

There was a lot leaving at half time. Was in the premier concourse and could see everyone head over the bridge. I get it when we're having a season where we're losing every week but this season i think its shit. Those that stayed were class though.

Great reply.

It was a shame so many left.

But the absolute clowns 🤡 on here calling it embarrassing.
Only 1 thing embarrassing is them.
