Diarra lately

I don’t think he’s shown much. Even at the start of the season, I was surprised by Sadiki who was fa more impressive than diarra imo. Have always thought people are seeing things that aren’t there. His price tag doesn’t help. As our record signing maybe some of us are expecting more.

One thing you have to say is that he absolutely excels at getting into attacking positions. There’s no one in the squad who plays the same way. Trouble is, he’s not a good finisher. One goal in open play and that was an absolute howler from the keeper.

Yesterday, ironically, was the first time I saw flashes from him. First 10 mins he was linking up quite well. As soon as the chips went down he disappeared. Lost all his duels. Panicked on the ball. Became a liability. He’s not alone in that mind.

Biggest issue for me is that he’s pushing enzo le fee out wide who has arguably been our best player this season and is suffering for diarras inclusion. Even yesterday, I’d have kept Rigg on ahead of him.
Happens a lot. Like you say he offers very little but work rate.

He certainly can’t pass a football. Can’t shoot. Hes been a massive waste of money so far
They’ll replace RLB in the summer like IMO
It’s absolutely nailed on IMO like

Not saying it would be the right thing to do and it would probably be pretty harsh but I seriously think we’ve went as far as we will under him

He doesn’t seem to learn and we make
The same mistakes all the time

Why is he top pf the threads again when Alderete looked like a bloke from the crowd first half? The whole team was hopeless. Hutchinson murdered Hume and came back and desecrated the corpse. But Diarra is to blame....he was shit like.
Not Humes fault poor choice of left back right back or bench other than when options few should be limit for Hume.

We had options last night RLB had a bad day. Plenty Credit in the bank though or he should???. Sadly not for the match day thread head loss brigade!! Ferking disgusting!! Hope they never see the inside of the ground. Got enough sing when your winning fans as it is.

I've said previously he might come good as still very young but currently he's not worth playing. Not just because of his own performances but also because it's a detriment to Le Fee moving him out of his bets position which is also a detriment to Talbi who doesn't get to play or has to go on his less preferred side. I'd rather these two continued to play and improve.

We are just a better team without Diarra in it.

However I do get that he has to play to improve as well so it's a bit catch 22 in that regard. Ultimately for me, he's not good enough for the first 11 and has to earn his place by showing something in the opportunities he gets.

I was speechless. Can't understand people watching and commenting at the same time. After the game plenty can have opinions but during a game it just reinforces peoples commonly held views i.e Le Bris is just standing with his arms folded. What else can he do? Throw stones at the players?

The midfield is all over the place because we are set up terribly trying to play more expensive football.
Kept me awake last night mulling this over. There’s definitely something in this. Sadiki said in an interview a few weeks ago that he felt restricted at club level in a very disciplined role and you do get the impression that once we were pretty much safe the coaching staff have tried to make us more expansive.

Conceding nine goals in two games is a pretty emphatic answer to the question’Can this group of players play a more expansive style’.

I think Le Bris quote from last night about the importance of staying humble is very telling.

I’d imagine we’ll see a return to Plan A at Wolves.

Think Le fee is wasted and not happy out wide too.

I said last night I wouldn't be surprised if theres pressure on him at the club to develop the style.

If we are relying on player trading model to grow and sell players etc, that generally requires good football and allowing players to shine. Not many players go for big money from a defensive and limited style of play. That doesn't interest the big clubs needs.

Could be this. I can’t decide whether last night was just a calamitous one off or something else.

At first I thought the players had just really underestimated Forest. A lovely warm night, playing a side struggling in the league, we just need to turn up and roll them over….. but who knows.

FFS Sky sports headlines is painful viewing this morning. It really did happen🤣

Shit happens is best Summary i reckon which is good in a sense cos no one but no one seen that coming so it was out of Character.Confident given our season so far when there have been question marks that there will be a positive response.

Yeah. This has pretty much been my thinking too.

There is no footballing brain there with Diarra. Like a dog with a balloon...and that's being kind.
I said the other week, the lad will run all day, but just hasn’t got the football ability. Against spurs he could have put Brobbey and a few others in at times and he would pick the wrong pass or massively over hit it.

Our fans on here are rightly calling out the woeful Diarra. However, they do seem to be giving his midfield mate a free pass.

Sadiki carries zero goal threat and we cannot afford that from a centre mid in our team. Before anyone says it is not his job to score because he is our Kante let me remind you that when Xhaka was out he was like a little boy lost. So he is not the defensive anchor man either.

I like sadiki and think he will turn out to be a quality midfielder in the future

However, people thinking clubs are going to pay 60/80 million for a midfielder that isn’t a defensive midfielder and somebody that carries very little attacking threat is complete fantasy like. It simply isn’t going to happen

If he can somehow add goals/ assists to his game then quite possibly in the future but for now he’s light years off a 60 million quid midfielder

Needs to get his brain into gear.

Oxford and Leeds - Two scuffed penalties, which yes went in, but are being saved by a better keeper. Nailed on he'd take a third in the same style and miss.

Brighton - Lying on the floor in our box "injured" when defending a corner, from which we concede.

Villa - Clean through in the last minute to put us 6th in the league, and tries to casually dink it over one of the best keepers in the world like it's a pre-season friendly.

Forest - Booked for waving an imaginary card.

Thick AF.

I dont know whst Sadiki is worth but then looney tunes on here were trying to convince me Neil was 25 million player last year🤣
