Awful end to the season


We beat the mags so not all bad

But there is a definite trend of slacking off when main objective is met

Did it not though? What else can we now achieve? It’s always gonna go down as a great season but the opportunities we’ve missed will also go down as ones we talk about for a long time. The FA Cup and then tonight just I don’t event know what to say pretty much ending the European carrot. Such a shame and pretty much a poor way to end it all. Still games left but you’re a better man than me if you think there’s owt left we can do. I genuinely thought we’d win tonight and then beat Wolves and be right in the mix. Been going long enough I should know better
 
4 games left. Players should be desperate to put atleast another 2 wins on the board which will see us on 50+ and id be delighted with that.

Hopefully we can add a bit more quality to the team in the summer as it seems obvious RLB doesnt rate many of the players outside the first 11. A lack of depth/rotation seems to have fucked the energy levels.
 
Half time I was super upset tbf just sat on my phone not saying much, I can get 5g at times in the ground. At full time I was over it, just win at Wolves please just to keep a shred of hope alive that we can get Europe just once in my sad little life.

Suppose technically that’s correct if we are being pedantic. But it did end tonight in terms of actual achievements. Finishing above the Saudis is a good one but when we could and maybe should’ve had more is that what we want? Just to finish above those stains on society? If we are gonna be really truthful our season finished around January as we had pretty much achieved what we wanted. We’ve dangled a carrot at more from our own successes, nothing wrong with that. But It ended tonight in spectacular fashion other than to say there’s some games left to play.
 
Needs to be changes for next season
We look laboured & very slack in defence
Never looked like scoring , see the season out but we will need to change
