BBC Brobbey should have been sent off v Spurs - panel

IMO the ref should have blew for a foul pretty much as soon as Porro started fouling him. He allowed him to foul Brobbey at least twice, the was no real advantage then and only then there was shrug of the shoulder that ended up in Porro play acting.

Even after he allowed play to wrongly continue that should have resulted in a foul for us and possibly a yellow card to both players. Brobbey had the ball at his feet and the Spurs player was literally using his hands to try to man handle him off the ball. First offence was the Spurs foul.

The 'foul' on Romario was nothing. A tiny nudge, happens all the time. The fact that his knee hit the keeper on the head was just very unfortunate. You shouldn't give decisions based on the aftermath due to bad luck. 99 times out of a hundred the keeper and defender don't come into contact and nothing would have ever been said.

This bit is concerning

Starting from next season, the video assistant referee but they will not be able to look at missed second cautions.”

In Brobbys case there isn’t a person on this earth who can convince me that the first yellow card was a foul from Brobby. Romero was all over the back of him and he moved his head towards Brobbys elbow to ensure he made contact with it

I said at the time he was lucky, and he was. We got away with that one.

Nope. No chance

They will only review downgrading a yellow not upgrading a potential second yellow
