We’ve umpteen wingers and none can get a game ahead of Enzo or Riggy. Of them only Traore has contributed owt at both ends of the pitch, the rest either aren’t good enough or ones for the future. We need to dig in and get back to squeezing every point possible from the season.
If no big names leave this summer then wide midfielders HAS to be the main recruitment target on both wings. Two wide mid signings who are as good at their jobs ar Roefs, Reinaldo, Alderrette, Mukiele, Sadiki, Brobbey etc would see us seriously challenging for European football and able to rest RLBs three first choice centre mids with Enzo and Riggy getting plenty of game time.

Aye but Enzos not out wide becos RLB thinks he’s better out there than in the middle. Enzos out there becos he contributes more going forward and backward than any of the “wingers” RLBs been lumbered with and becos RLB thinks he’s better out there than Xhaka, Sadiki and Diarra would be.
Ditto Riggy on the right wing.

Seems pretty obvious to me. They wanna get Diarra scoring goals as he seems to be the only CM who gets in the box on a regular basis. Plus Enzo and Riggy offer more out wide than any of our wingers do atm. Simple as that.

Interesting, but I don’t really see it that way. The Brobbey point is the one thing there’s no argument about, but not sure on the rest.

Is talbi really such a liability defensively? We seem to concede way more with diarra in the side and people were banging enzo out to dry for his defensive contributions while out wide.

From an attacking perspective he’s contributed as much, if not more, than diarra and meanwhile enzo is contributing less.
