Away tickets question.

If i have an away ticket and no longer want it, can you share it officially on the system such that the receiver is ok with respect to these turnstile checks?

I tried with a ticket I couldn't I couldn't get to - phoned the ticket office - they said it couldn't be taken back, asked for permission to pass it on - they said no to that too.

I have heard *cough* *cough* that you could send the link to someone else and they can add it to their google/iphone wallet - and hope they don't get ID checked.

I suppose if someone is pulled for an ID check they can just walk away and there'd be zero comeback.

A bit of a pain in the arse all round but if they're going to fail the ID check anyway!

I’m fairly sure the club class getting a red light at the turnstile and not going to the ticket office as a failed check

The risk is that if it is presented and identified for an ID check and then not followed through it would still be traced back to @Zidane

Its one thing the club saying you can't transfer them yourself, but these days you should be able to inform the club so that they can re-sell it. You could return tickets in the dark ages before the internet. They simply aren't interested in helping fans when there is no profit in it though.

That's how people get banned. If you're a no-show, you just lose the loyalty point. If the ticket for ID is scanned, rejected, and the printed replacement doesn't get collected, the assumption will be it's been passed on.

Hopefully the club takes notice going forward and puts something in place to pass on a ticket (even if just a couple of times a season) in the event of an emergency to the person concerned.
Posted before that I couldn't go once this season for medical reasons, had the point deduction (not a problem) but the ticket went to waste.

I think if you write a letter to someone explaining exactly why you're not attending, enclosing an official document like a death certificate or sick note, then you'll be able to claim back the money lost.

No, hang on, that's in the future when the club start selling event insurance as another sideline to increase revenue.

The amount of away match return requests must be minimal, probably less than 20 a match , it’s hardly the end of the world to deal with such small numbers, profit or not.

No it is not!

You do not have to be a "show" for your ID check, for whatever reason. This is not factual If you assume or presume you make an Ass out of u and me ...

A no-show is not a failed ID check. I know, because that was me at Man City. A failed ID check is where the ticket is scanned and rejected. And that is what ultimately resulted in Paul's ban
