He's not getting anything like that. Chelsea have a break cause - he'll get around £4mat £24 million for a few months, is that the most anyone has (potentially) been out paid as a manager in football?

Because he has very limited experience I would imagine, even less than their recent car crash incumbents. Why wouldn’t they give it to Terry ?
No wonder that deal went throughSupposedly PIF are investors in ClearLake.
Be interesting to see if Chelseas owners keep throwing money around if the Saudi's turn off the tap.
Why wouldn’t they give it to Terry ?
Why would they? Why wouldn’t they give it to Terry ?
It's a bit harsh on him in reality
He was doing ok at Strasbourg, he was promoted beyond his ability because he was already part of the business.
Now he has no job at all .
And I would laugh my cock off if they go after Lampard
It's a good idea if they have a 1 year exit payment, which it sounds like they have. If he does well you get 5 years locked in, otherwise here's £4m to go elsewhere whilst they get the next man in.I cannot understand why you'd give an unproven manager a 5 1/2 year deal. For me, it demonstrates what an utter shit show Chelsea FC is.
Some of the stuff I read about how the players viewed Rosenier and his backroom team borders on Ted Lasso-esque
They'll kneejerk and appoint another clown.
Unfortunately that would have to be in a cup because he'll not get another Premier League job whilst he's got a hole in his arse.I hope Rosenoir gets another job, takes his team back to Stamford Bridge and plays Chelsea off the park. Player power writ large at Chelsea.
From what I’ve read on the BBC it was the Spanish speaking players who were undermining him, whereas the English speaking lads were giving him more respect
I imagine Terry would be a bit like Shearer at the mags. As you alluded to, they need a strong gaffer. At the moment the majority of the players are spineless. Someone like Diego simeone would whip them into shape but, i don't think they would get him to leave athletico.Because he has very limited experience I would imagine, even less than their recent car crash incumbents.
Said it when they appointed Rosenier, they need an Emery type, a successful, experienced bloke to grab them by the balls and take the whole club forward. They've made a mess of things but still have some very good players. They just need solid direction.
He's on about leaving at the end of the season...I imagine Terry would be a bit like Shearer at the mags. As you alluded to, they need a strong gaffer. He didn’t really have much choice, he was already employed by them if he said no he’d have been sacked at Strasbourg by the end of the season and not as much of a pay off.Didn’t have to take the job.
Harsh that. How will the poor bastard cope? Especially as he's likely to be out of work for at least six weeks. He's not getting anything like that. Chelsea have a break cause - he'll get around £4m
We’ll see. Dumping him into a cauldron of a job everyone else has been found wanting at isn’t the best way to judge him. He needs experience and maybe he’ll get that somewhere else and develop into a good manager.Unfortunately that would have to be in a cup because he'll not get another Premier League job whilst he's got a hole in his arse.
This and he's also a full kit w*nkerBecause he has very limited experience I would imagine, even less than their recent car crash incumbents.

Perhaps but he'll have to go again from a lower level. Maybe back to 'ull. We’ll see. Dumping him into a cauldron of a job everyone else has been found wanting at isn’t the best way to judge him. He needs experience and maybe he’ll get that somewhere else and develop into a good manager.

Said it before but if anyone had any doubts as to how it would end up they needed to just watch this from a Hull preseason camp.
Unless I'm naïve to the professional game and how managers communicate with players this seems like he treats the players like grassroots kids.
Think he's got a chance to make a fist of management but he needs to cut out the management BS. Someone made a canny quip earlier in the thread calling him LinkedIn Liam which made me laugh.
