First manager to potentially complete 3 pre-seasons since Reid isn't it?

I think it would also be the first manager since Reid to finish a season, complete a full season, and then take the following pre-season since Reid too (which is obviously an even shorter period of time).

No wonder we've been f***ing horrendous for two decades.

As much as it's madness about Regis, there's a canny few posters on here getting twitchy and stressy already about our "European chances" getting "blown"

KLD and Juan may be of the same ilk. The Ruthless Duo

Did Brucey not do it?

He did have three pre-seasons, aye: 2009, 2010, 2011.

Appointed once the 2008/09 season finished, had a full 2009/10 season, a full 2010/11 season, and then was sacked in Nov 2011 so completed the other little weird gimmick.

For some reason I seem to recall the stat being touted about numerous times when managers looked like they might do it, but I must be misremembering.

Got two full seasons in charge of the Lads ?

No - but it's a little known fact that Steve Bruce once got us to 10th in the Premier League. (He himself rarely talks about it). It then came to light that he was a Geordie (which was a bit of a shock to us all) and as you know under those circumstances SAFC rules absolutely require that he be hounded out of the Club.

It was very unfortunate - no one could remember at all why we had such a rule (something to do with Bob Stokoe?) - but it had to be done.
