Is the extended play offs starting from next season too or was that never agreed to in the end??

I find myself a massive outlier in that I think VARs a good thing, all the discussions are around how its bad and ineffective, but anyone who watches other leagues knows it can be done well with the right tech and staff.
This turning of the media and fans against VAR is honestly one of the biggest stitch ups by the FA, Premier League, PGMOL, and I will wear my tin hat on this as I expect pelters.
Edit: Honestly every single MOTD, every podcast has some pundits exasperated at it, VARs technology, it’s like blaming guns for WW1, blame the bloody organisation thats meant to be sorting training out etc

You can understand them not having VAR in some ways, but when you think of some of the refs we had in the championship, there’s going to be more room for some flaky decisions.
No complaints with it for us this season, Everton handball aside. Saved us in the play off final too

VAR is a great idea.
However the use and execution of it in the PL is horrific. Look at how the European refs managed it at (I think it was) the last euros or World Cup compared to the 20 minute delays we have to watch.

Forgot about the play off decision. Exactly, when used right its perfect, and can create moments just as much as the pundits says it takes them away

VAR needs to be changed to being the main ref in the video room. His assistant is the one on the pitch and they can bin the Clear & Obvious shite.
There was that Bournemouth v Man Utd game recently where Amad got pushed over but the ref didn't give it, yet later in game ref gave penna to Bournemouth for a very similar push. There's no consistency due to the 'grey' area that Clear & Obvious allows.
C&O just winds fans up even more when some 'softer' pennas (or decisions) are given as the ref gave them yet if he doesn't then harsher pennas (or decisions) are overlooked as VAR won't change it. Or they do select some to be reviewed but then leave other harsher decisions alone as there's just no consistency within a large range of yes it's a foul or not it's not a foul.

That’s a good point, because the main ref can just communicate to the ref on the pitch, makes far more sense and we have the tech for it

Or just sack it off and have one ref, the one on the field, referee the game as he sees it.
Has worked as close to fine as can be for 100s of years.

They still have it in the playoffs final though. I guess it's needed with so much riding on it. Thank fuck.
Tell you what like if var rules out that Ipswich penalty against boro the league is much tighter at the top, be plenty like that throughout the season. Much rather that with the delays (and mistakes) that come with it rather than just trusting the officials

As soon as refs start making massive errors it would be brought back again and it's the reason why it was brought in to footy in the 1st place.
