Christ I've even commented on itFrom the article above, says Forest home mascot is £1200.
Coincidence that I put our price on and it's against Forest
You get two tickets so they charge that as the price for each ticket.Just managed to get the bairn a place for the Forest game, he must have been on a waiting list(s) for at least 6 years. £200 now with no mention of a strip (we knew that anyway). Interesting or maybe not it's been invoiced as two mascot packages tickets @£100 each.

Not really arsed about the price as it's a once on a lifetime thing for him and the last chance he has as he'll be too old next season.
To put it perspective we paid £150 for the oldest bairn to do it against Southend and he walked out with Will Grigg, he got a strip which he already had so that was a waste.

The bairn got to be mascot against Liverpool. It was expensive but it was class to see him walk out. I think he was overawed by it all, but he was talking about van Dijk giving him a fist bump, Rigg patting him on the shoulder and asking if he was OK, walking out with Hume in front of the TV cameras. Some memories for him.
He had been on the waiting list for years but I heard they only have records going back two or three year. I did send an enquiry via Ask SAFC to see what was happening as he got to the maximum age. A few months after that I got an email back offering the spot.
My nephew did it years ago and got a kit, got to meet the players and get autographs before the game, got a few kicks of the ball with the players warming up, but it's changed now. Supply your own kit, greet the players as they come into the ground, no autograph opportunities, and watch the warmup from the side of the pitch. Like I say though, the bairn still enjoyed it.
Really, the only part I didn't like was that the tickets are in the first few rows and it was pissing down. We got soaked![]()
Aye but the Mags lose the kids!!!!Mags and Liverpool do it for free out of the ones I checked.
Hmmm….seems a bit akin to a factory production line, rather than a personal experience. The latest itinerary says
5:45pm Arrival & Welcome
Please arrive at the Main Reception in the Jimmy Montgomery Stand, where our friendly Mascot
Chaperone Team will be waiting to welcome you. They’ll be your guides for this unforgettable evening!
Mascots should arrive in full kit ready for the match. Trainers are advised for this mascot experience, not
football boots. Extra layers underneath the kit can be worn if required.
Once everyone has arrived, mascots and their parents/guardians will receive a short briefing about the
evening’s exciting schedule.
Behind-the-Scenes Tour
Parents and guardians can relax in the seated area while our mascots enjoy a special tour of the dressing
room, where the players prepare for the big game!
You’ll then head pitch-side to visit the home team dugout for some brilliant photo opportunities.
Meet the Players
Next, mascots will return to Main Reception, with our chaperone team, to welcome the players as they
arrive at the Stadium of Light. This a perfect time to give some high fives and meet the players for the
first time.
While mascots are busy meeting the team, parents and guardians will be shown to their seats and
can purchase refreshments from the West Stand concourse.
Pre-Match Excitement
Mascots will be invited to watch the pre-match warm-up from pitch side, getting a great view of the
players in action!
Parents and guardians will later be escorted to a special pitch-side area to watch the mascots take part in
the team run-out.
Pitch-Side Photos & Walkout
As kick-off approaches, it’s time for those all-important pitch-side photos.
Then comes the moment you’ve been waiting for, lining up in the tunnel with the players, ready to walk
out onto the pitch to the roar of the crowd!
Mascots will have their official photo taken with the team captains, Samson & Delilah and match officials
Not at allHmmm….seems a bit akin to a factory production line, rather than a personal experience.
I find it all…cold and corporate.
(Not that it is going to bother me…my youngest is in his 30’s!)
Having to buy a kit is ridiculous given how much it would cost the club. It's mental how clubs are now willing to make money out of young fans given the money in the game. You get two tickets so they charge that as the price for each ticket.

To be fair it has to be planned out, can't just wing it.Hmmm….seems a bit akin to a factory production line, rather than a personal experience.

Yeah, but only a season ago, mascots met the players in the dressing room to get autographs on shirts, footballs etc. It was more personal and ‘fan’ orientated. Now it just seems like “yes line up….hurry up….”To be fair it has to be planned out, can't just wing it.
My mistake, missed that bit. Poor if they aren't able to do that.Yeah, but only a season ago, mascots met the players in the dressing room to get autographs on shirts, footballs etc. It was more personal and ‘fan’ orientated. Now it just seems like “yes line up….hurry up….”
To be fair when we got a free kit it was an absolute waste as he already had it. I would still argue that the price you pay could easily incorporate a strip even though a strip costs £90+Having to buy a kit is ridiculous given how much it would cost the club. It's just pure greed and there's no need for it and if anything, doing a little more for bairns would make the club stand out socially rather than joining all the other clubs that just want to milk fans of all ages in any way they can.
12 I think. need passport as well so no funny businessSounds class. Is there an upper age limit?

Pretty sure I've seen them signing stuff in there this season on the media stuff. Could be wrong likeThe bairn did it last year and they got to go in the dressing room to get things signed, shame if that’s changed.
I heard it has. They will sign his shirt mind as he's got his heart set on itThe bairn did it last year and they got to go in the dressing room to get things signed, shame if that’s changed.
