Creating chances.

I feel like RLB's main focus initially was being hard to beat and accumulating as many points as possible. Now there is no threat of relegation we can take the handbrake off a little bit. I think we'll be much more adventurous next season

Seven on target against Villa, Eight on target against the unwashed.

We've started to create far more chances than at any other time of the season. Yes, yesterday was a kick in the nads but we're definitely heading in the right direction.

KTF.
Think the players maybe have subconsciously taken the shackles off now we are safe

The positive for me is we’ve not sacrificed defence to create more chances. We gave up far too many chances yesterday but that wasn’t cos we were ploughing forward.

Goal 1 - ELF doesn’t track McGinn and Sadiki realised too late to cover.
Goal 2 - Rigg doesn’t track the run and stop the cross.
Goal 3 - Reinildo gives the ball away really poorly.
Goal 4 - Talbi doesn’t stop the cross but it’s 2v1 in the box and we should defend it better.

They’re all just individual errors caused by good play by Villa, but not because we’re throwing men forward.

And the goals are starting to come more from open play which we've struggled with before now. All 3 yesterday and 1 against The Fat Mags

...because we are realistically safe mate, less pressure. We are so much better when we are on the front foot and we need a goal.(obvious i know)...but the higher press and tempo we play, we look so much better.

Weird that. I've read hundreds of times that all 4 goals were Luke's fault. :)

We've put ourselves in a very luxurious position of being able to experiment things in meaningful league games for next season that no one would have dared to imagine in the summer with how safe we are.

Not to mention that O’Nien in the box for 3 of those goals isn’t reacting quick enough to the movement of the striker.

He should do better with 1, 2 & 4.

And. The other team is allowed to play well and create.

Now that we are safe , Le Bris must have released the handbrake somewhat .

Their last two goals were quality mind, no complaints from me really, it's easy to say we should have done this and should have done that, but Rogers take was class and played himself in. The winner was just quality movement by Abraham, natural instinct to get there. As you say the first two though were due to poor tracking, and poor marking

Aye if you always just did what you’re meant to then no team would ever score against you. Clearly it doesn’t work like that.

Also, I feel there were a few opportunities for us to cause Villa problems if we took more care of the ball in the attacking 3rd. Even last week we ended up needlessly conceding possession when building an attack.

Various elements of the performance weren’t great yesterday, and still managed to score 3 at Villa park!

For goal one he was left exposed to the oncoming Watkins and slipped but the cross should never be coming in. Second goal was Rigg's fault as he lost his man. The third goal was down to Le Fee and Reinildo's fannying about. Fourth goal he was slow to react and partly responsible though Talbi could have prevented the cross.

The 3rd wasn’t, the other 3 he should be doing better.
I'm being facetious ;) , but to play the game a bit...

First one is fuck all to do with him. Nothing he could be to stop that. Should have been stopped at source at least twice by others, three if you count Reinildo f***ing about. Luke is in the middle trying to cover a low, driven cross from McGinn... Which is what would happen in 95% of cases in that situation. Watkins is clever and clearly knows McGinn has that cross in his locker.
Second one he lost his man. His man is 'Englands' Olly Watkins who is basically famous for losing his marker. The diving header attempt/salmon impression makes it look far worse than it is, but thats him busting a gut to recover. You are correct on Rigg though. Cross should never have come in.
Third one nowt to do with Luke.
Fourth one is one of the best crosses I've seen all season (which DEFO should have been stopped by Talbi at source). Roefs could possibly have come for it.... Maybe... All four of our defenders are out of position, Muks and Ballard are both too high as they've not read the (admittedly excellent) cross and both Trai and Luke are lost in the dust as Abrahams cuts through the centre of the two of them like that aren't there. 95th minute
