I actually said out loud that was a great game and thats why football is the best sport. My wife is a Villa supporter so had to be diplomatic.

He did, we still lost. We then won our next game without him being in the room and I realised how silly I was being.

When he missed I went mental, bouncing a paperback novel off the coffee table numerous times whilst simultaneously screaming 'fuck' a lot. When they scored I calmly accepted it. Despite the pain I enjoyed the game and I felt proud that we at times play some great stuf,f and I love each and every one of our players, including mr Diarra. It's been a f***ing great season and it's not over yet.

Even at 3-1 I was saying it was a great game and we'd just been tactically beaten with some mistakes thrown in.
I'm gutted about the result, but the bigger picture is, we are a very good team.

At 3-1 I thought the games gone, it is what it is, I would have liked a draw but never mind.
Then in the space of like 5 minutes it was 3-3 and we were 2 on 1 with their keeper and certain to win the game. In my head we were 6th in the table already.
…A minute later we have lost the game.
They literally got my hopes up, purely so that they could kick the chair out from under me. I was fine with the defeat until we had ‘won’, and now I’m not fine with it anymore
