Diarra lately

I keep mentioning I went right in on him after Brighton, weeks of poor performances followed by a match of poor individual decisions.

However, he was decent against the Mags & excellent last week. Decent again yesterday I thought, bar an obvious wrong decision for the goal.

But I’m going to look at the positives in this. It is nice to have a midfielder who’s attacking minded & will run amongst & beyond the back line. We haven’t had that type of player for years. Hopefully he can keep his overall performances going in the right direction & add a bit of quality to the final ball/shot.
He wasn't excellent last week. He was improved but not excellent. Last week his final ball was poor along with his decision making. He has all the right attributes but contributes very little. He did do well for Rigg's goal but so many times his passing seemed lazy. I am hoping there is far more to his game than we have seen but considering he is most expensive ever player he has been a big disappointment. I don't know whether he's trying too hard, suffering from a lack of self confidence or is just not that good but no one can be saitisied with his contributions to date.

Played a big part in the Winning goal ,ran his socks off ,was excellent

If his chip at the end had of been an inch or 2 higher we would have all been saying “what a lovely piece of skill and confidence to do that and score “fine margins
i agree with that but he needs to do something like that to justify his price tag. I know its not his fault how much we paid for him but that he has been poor for the most part this season seems undeniable. Maybe he is still coming back from his injury.

OK, we'll have to agree to disagree. The only time he has been excellent was against Burnley in my opinion.

Hope we don't sign any forty million players this summer. They'll be slagged off before they even get a pink slice down their throats. Stick with ten million then everyone will be happy.

He needs a pre season ,let’s be fair on the lad he missed 3 months with a serious hamstring injury, still probably holding back a bit because that injury is still probably playing on his mind tbh

Totally agree with that. I am hoping that he will be like the proverbial 'new signing' next year.

There's a chance the defender clears it even if the keeper was beat, the decision was really poor. It's not really that he missed, but how he missed.
Combined with arguing with the fans after Port Vale, faking an injury deep in our own box that put his teammates in an awful position and led to a goal...

These things compound. He needs to learn, and change his attitude a bit. Then it's all good.
I don't think Mings is stopping this going in

very good player in my eyes, his decision making that need to improve.
I was a bit annoyed that he decided to try chip shot against one of the best keeper in the world isnt good idea. At least he took a risk and learnt from that mistake. Im still supporting him, he tried his best.
RLB have to make decision whether to keep him in the side, i think he is so vital for us because of his clever runs at times.
