Watched the highlights back yesterday and he had a good game. Martinez is a top keeper who’s made crucial last minute saves in World Cup finals, no shame at all in that miss.

We take what we did well from that game, learn from our mistakes, and play like that in the remaining 5 games we can finish top 6. Diarra will be massive in the remaining games.

We allowed too many balls in from the wings, some mistakes by our more popular players involved! We did well to come back ,good character.

When he was preparing to shoot Talbi is right there shouting and in his peripheral view. You can't defend that League Two attempt of a finish. Even if Martinez would've slipped that ball still doesn't go in before the Villa defender.
Every time I watch the replay it looks even worse.

You're view watching this and Diarra's are two totally different things. He's already shooting and still doesn't know Talbi is just about to appear. Could he have done something different to beat the keeper yes. Should he have passed to a player he can't even know is there, no. The ball looks like it would go in to me if the keeper doesn't get his paw on it.

He’s young and had a good game up till that point, and his energy is crucial to the way we counter.

Give him support or fuck off imo. We can’t be going on about being a fanbase who supports these young lads if we abuse a player after one poor miss.

Here we go again one missed opportunity and that's the end of him.

He has been playing well recently, the keeper made a good save.

Season disrupted with injury & Afcon and still young. See what he is like next seaon before being too harsh on him.

That analysis is spot on...better players than Diarra have missed in that situation ..win on Friday and we are back in the hunt

Fortunately the 3 or 4 on here who want Diarra to pack his bags and fuck off will still just be a tiny minority at the games. Support from the club, team mates and proper fans hopefully helps the lad deal with the online abuse.
 
Ballard hume isador xhaka sadiki le fee brobby cirkin riggs talbi ....all missed sitters this season but have all scored goals ....its football man! Diarri is a great footballer give him support ...were not the mags!!!
 
He had a good game apart from the big chance.

Second half he was occupying that last man sweeper role a bit too much for my liking, I prefer to see him running. That's not on him though, and that tactic allowed for Xhaka and Le Fee to push on, so swings and roundabouts.

I'm disappointed to get nothing when we could have taken all 3, but that's football. We move on.

It would still be mentioned like as it was a great chance to potentially win the game but you're right it's massively highlighted because we conceded which isn't his fault at all
