Played a free role off the left today and was creative. Sadiki loves to drift out there to cover and Reinildo can get forward. Worked well imo.

That was Reinildo’s fault surely? Le Fee was getting closed down and knocked the ball back to Reinildo who’s heavy touch allowed McGinn to pitch the ball and set Villa away

I actually thought first half he was off the pace a bit (along with others) and was exposed defensively, however he grew in to the game, lovely assist for isidor and almost the a match winning assist with another great ball.

It’s not worth starting its own thread, but one thing I have noticed is how last year everybody was saying he was a “luxury player”. The implication being that he was a show pony who didn’t do any work.
What a mental take that was in hindsight! He works his nads off every game, and he gets stuck in. He’s coming up on the rails and a string contender for our player of the season this year
