Chris Rigg


Had about 30 minutes in the first half where he was outstanding, best he's looked since Middlesborough when scored that back heel. Happy to see him continuing to make progress, as a feared he might stall out a bit, particularly being undersized. And agree, we need to play him (and Talbi and Angulo when he comes back) as much as we can for the rest of the year - Europe on the table or not. Would love to see Mayenda get more minutes too, but not sure how it's possible with Brobbey and Wilson ahead of him.
 
Rigg was mature beyond his years the way he received the pass and saw he was able to take the time to weigh up his options, compose himself and place his shot as if he was on the training ground.
 
Goal was sublime, but still has a lot to learn. Might as well give him the rest of the season to start and get some valuable minutes/experience.

Not really sure having him and Enzo out wide is doing us any favours, although we're trying our best. It just takes any pace away from us and means we've got to be a little bit more patient on the ball.

Once Enzo was put back into midfield and Wilson and Talbi came on, we had pace to break, and looked a lot more threatening.

Big question from is is how we accommodate the likes of Enzo and Rigg while also needing some pace out wide to counter?

Yeah its a real conundrum. I thought Brobbey was making runs but we didn't pass to him. Thought that was odd. I guess he will start next game but well done Isidor. Top finish.

Would really love to see Brobbey and Wilson up top on Friday. I just think they'd be a real handful and compliment each other.
