Diarra lately

Just seems like a water carrier type player to me. Don't know what his strengths are. Isn't a great passer and his finishing is poor. His best asset is his running and ability to cover ground. Don't think that alone is worth 30m. Hope he improves
To be fair to him, he didn’t force us to pay £30 million for him or pick him in the team today. He made a decision to chip the keeper and the keeper guessed right. I’m sure he feels bad tonight but criticising him won’t help him or the team.

This board man
It's crazy. No other midfielder is getting in that position. I was at the match and not seen it back but Talbi seemed like he was behind Diarra and it wouldn't have been easy to see him.

Just seen it back above. No chance he sees Talbi.

Finally seeing this back.

There's absolutely nee way he can possibly see Talbi

There's absolutely no way he doesn't see Talbi before unleashing that pathetic finish, not to mention the obvious shout by Talbi.
The miss looks even worse from this angle.

True. I hope he can get better. At least he's getting in those positions. I suppose if his finishing and passing was on point he’d be worth a lot more than £30m and probably wouldn't be with us.

Everybody that's in Diarra's position is taking that himself...he just needs to slot that home. Feel awful about it and I'm sure he does as well. He's young and he'll continue to get better.
I hope he continues to get better because as it stands we’ve got a 30 million quid dud on our hands

I think he has looked decent lately. Poor finish today though. Draw that and he doesn’t get the stick he’s getting. We were poor defensively today. That’s the bigger reason we didn’t get something from that game.
I think they were very good offensively though. Killer balls into the box.

No way, every footballer with a brain would've pass it to Talbi instead of trying to ridicule one of the best GK's in the world. Just another one of many poor decisions by Diarra.
Has pace and incredible energy, but his decision making is atrocious in the final third times and times again.
But wasn't offside anyway? 😁

He didn't play great today but we don't have another player in the middle who would beak the lines like that at 90+ minutes. Le Feé wouldn't be able to, he hasn't got the pace. Excited to see him develop next season, he's just a kid and will improve loads! Hope we keep him
What makes it look bad is he was literally 1-1 none of their players were close to him iirc, build up play to get him into that position was fantastic.

I thought he did all right. Talbi is behind him and he has already stalled to send Martinez down.

He tries to dink at this point and it's a terrific last minute adjustment from Martinez. Don't blame Diarra there. He largely did well and he's been great last three games. Still young, first season.

He isn't a reason to complain today.
