They aren't gonna move him on though because of what goes on off the pitch. Xhaka has said himself, O'Nien is crucial to team dynamics.

Why would you fuck that influence up? if they want Luke there for moral then he stays. Its not just about what goes on in those 90s minutes.

Watkins showed today how he can play when he wants to and he did it cos 09 isnt as good as other CH he has faced

Lets see what happens in the summer. I have no problem at all with him staying for behind the scenes reasons. I just prefer him not to be on the pitch at this level.
 
Not read the full thread after todays goal but he’s basically watched the ball for every goal. Really poor.

Still don’t understand this fit enough to start on the bench but not fit enough to start the game carry on.

In Ballard’s case he’s only been out for 4 weeks or so. Just start him and bring him off if you need to.

If we come out this summer with o nien still likely to be in the 1st team we would of failed. Cant be ruthless with good blokes like david bruce and then keep o nien around for the bants

So when we came back and beat the mags he was good then and now he is shit again

The daft thing is you are having a go at a player who knows he isnt the best he even admits it but he has played well for 2 weeks so deserved his chance today

It didnt work so we move onto Fridays game, doesnt mean he is a shit player all over again

I know as I am sure most of us do that he will move on next season but again no need to slag one player off like this man

Its just standard fandom and why you can't take any of it seriously. At least not on here. At least Facebook is more balanced.

Like I said, its gonna be funny as if Luke gets his first goal at the end of the season and its the one which puts us in Europe. I look forward to that because I honestly think its gonna be the case.

And what you think of him is hyperbole. He's been capable in what he's been asked. We simply could not have replaced the entire defense this season and he's been fine considering his capability.

And thats fine. Got no issue with it and the club have done more than anybody ever thought possible. I don't think hes anywhere close to the level and maybe I go over the top, but I just think he's a disaster waiting to happen.

His time needs to be up

Luke's been a legend in his own time here at the club.
Don't think I've seen a better example of anyone "dying for that cause " since Bally but the lad will know his time is neigh and he'll either have to move on to play regular football or accept probably a third/fourth choice roll.
I'm sure he knows his limits ATM in the premier league and will assess things at the end of the season.
Whatever happens he's been a terrific servant to the club and deserves only the best whatever the future holds.
