Luke O'Nien

Yes I'm suggesting they swap sides, it's called man marking, it's been about for donkeys years.
You don't have a clue mate.

Entitled to your opinion but its absolutely laughable. Show me one example of centre backs constantly swapping during a game.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

This is absolutely incredible defending him tbf. This is simply not how things work or is at all possible except on a set piece.

Floating centre backs to hide O'Neins inadequacy
Don't think you understand how defenders work. Ballard is always out of position. He spends more time going forward tbh

Never has a player so average inspired such loyalty or stimulated so much hatred from his own fans. I've watched it a couple of times, villa passed it around well and O9 clearly isn't "at fault for at least 3 goals." That said, if Ballard is on the pitch I doubt there'd have been so much space int he box and just because I don't think he's at fault it doesn't necessary mean I think he's good enough for this level.

Still love him though.

Did Ballard look unfit when he came on?
Nope , but like I said the manager will have his reasons and one of them may have been his level of fitness after being out for a few weeks! Happens all the time.
Did you get a pass to training this week or attend meetings with club physio?

Because they decided to play on the EFL plodder and not the international defender.
Do you not realise what you are saying?

You are saying Alderete and Ballard cannot mark outside their given target. All defenders mark the box at all times regardless of position.

The balls came from out wide. Watkins pulled onto o'nien because hes bobbins. How on earth do you expect the centre halves during play to swap and change 10/15 yards away while going wide to meet the man after the full back was beat?

O’Nien was poor today, but he was not at fault for 3 goals as people make it out to be.
Thought defensively all 4 of them looked shaky today. Couldn’t handle McGinn or Watkins.

We all know Luke isn’t as good as Dan, to be fair Luke’s done ok and in Dans absence has played well.
This league is brutal and small mistakes are jumped on.
Dan will play Friday if fit and Luke will be on the bench, let’s not batter Luke when he’s stepped up when needed.
