Diarra lately

I think he’s starting to look a better player. Should he have scored? Yeah probably but it looked a decent save in real time and because of the way he attempted the finish he will get pleters because loads of our fans can’t handle anyone trying something that isn’t the norm. Did to remember he is just a kid really, he has loads of time on his side.

If it goes in we're all saying he's the next Maradona. Them's the breaks. Should have scored but he's young and will learn from it.
But he isn't...and he tried to do a clever penalty at Leeds but he couldn't do that either...it takes a special kind of player to both of these skills...he needs to get this knocked out of him asap and concentrate on what he can do and stop watching the likes of Messi, Ronaldo thinking I can do that.......I'm sure Roy Keane would knock it out of him.

He’s got a massive ego and a minimal amount of talent. Both goals v Burnley were flukes, one a deflection and the other Dubravka should’ve saved.

The penalty against Leeds was poor and was lucky it went in.

He was crap today and bottled an easy finish.

This is the issue like he’s worth absolutely nowhere near what we’ve paid.
Had to say after 15ish games but it’s a really run of the mill fee for a premier league player. We have just been spoilt with the value we have found elsewhere

The very last thing you can accuse him of with that finish is bottling it mind

I was at the match. People we screaming at him to square it.

The defending was shite. 09 turned in one of the worst CB performances the PL has ever seen.
Fair enough. Same difference on my point.

Players can't look everywhere. Lot of attacking players have their eyes on goal.

Was a bad finish. Doesn't need to be shot with shit.

As I said fans love a split second moment to scapegoat a result. I'm guilty of it many times so not having a go.

Diarra is a very young lad still, playing for the first time outside of his home country and at a club with a larger fanbase. Am I gutted he didn't score? Of course. But the lads had a turbulent season between injury, African finals and adapting to knew league, country and team all while seeming to be one of the quieter lads in the squad anyway.

Just because he's not singing along with the songs or smiling all the time like Mukiele or Sadiki doesn't mean he doesn't want to be here or that he's not committed if he's not that kind of character (Brobbey is a similar kind of character to Diarra seemingly and never gets his commitment questioned just because he's taken to the league more easily). More experienced players have missed easier chances than that and not had their committment questioned. Lad doesn't deserve personal digs for his performance and I'm sure he's gutted too, he should get the full support of the fans.

They can’t look everywhere no, I agree. But in that position you simple have to score. Whether that’s scoring yourself, or passing so your teammate can pass it into an empty net.

I understand he didn’t choose his transfer fee, but I expect so much better of him.

Bottled an easy finish, must of been some player back in your day mate. It’s frightening how quickly you write people off. You have no idea on his ego, and he’s certainly talented, first season in the prem man.

Who is getting personal with him?

All the comments I’ve seen are about his footballing ability which is par for the course on a football forum.
