Artemis 2 Going back to the moon.


I enjoyed watching some of the return interviews with Artemis crew the last few days.

One of the replies to question of how they were adapting upon return, gravity was taking getting used to again. Christina Koch saying she forgot for a moment where she was and took her shirt off let go of it (expecting it to float) and startled for a moment as watch it hit the floor… that one I chuckled at.

So what do you see in the sky, which is ISS shaped and passing over quickly exactly where the ISS should be?

Could be anything to be honest, they have Blu Beam which is very impressive. Nothing orbits the earth and sattleites are all balloons floating around

You know you can see the ISS orbiting yourself? You can see when SpaceX launch a bunch of starlink satellites yourself.

Well that is completely wrong. There is a lot of those things. But even if you think they are fake you can take your own camera, point it at the moon and if you time it right you can take photos of it yourself. Here is a guide to exactly what you need to do.

On a ‘my opinion’ post, we should sort the planet we inhibit before we look elsewhere, what could we have done to famine etc. with this dosh, what did we get side from a couple of ‘human’ images instead of space ships one’s 🤷‍♂

Complete waste of time, money and effort imho 👍

What if space travel leads to greater resources or knowledge that benefits humanity, such as mining various metals and minerals in space?

What if 15th century Europeans said the same? There were problems at home then too, but off people went and discovered America and Australia. From the Americas at least, they brought back gold and various foods that were easy to grow here and helped poverty. Nobody could have foreseen that, so who knows what space will provide?

We will never fix all our problems if as a race we decide to stagnate.
