It seems the tide is turning in terms of support over the last year. Previously commented about how I’d never seen so much Sunderland clothing in Darlington but it seems to have spread elsewhere. I grew up in the Keegan/bobby Robson era where mags attire was the norm.

Had a fantastic week off work this last week in troutbeck and when wearing a safc cap in the (predictably) horrible weather around Ambleside and Windermere had a fair few lads fans approach me and talk football. Lass dragged me and pooch to bishop food fair today and only mag I saw was some scratter with a tattooed face whereas had a few interactions with lads fans wanting to say hello to the dog (I used my standard line “she’s friendly to anyone in a good shirt and only shows her teeth to mags”). Really refreshing being from an area which was plastic mag that we seem to have a lot of representatives out and about again !
 

Have to concur.

Since the double in March, the gravy stained, sweat marked home shirts/training tops have been noticeably absent around much of DH4 too.


Post December's humiliation they vanished over the Yuletide but had started creeping back in so that pre the Barca game they were appearing all over as they seemed to be getting themselves back together a bit.

I’ve been down darlo today and there was loads of mags I know they were playing but they had a fair few waiting at the station.

They are shamesies, which actually shows more self awareness than I would otherwise have attributed to them.

That’s fair enough I maybe was overreacting 🤣 awe obviously have very different views on things but FWIW I wish you all the best in the bad times you are having with family members as I’m currently going through similar

As I said your views on me are your own and that’s fair enough. You’re obviously an educated lady and I really do sympathise with your current situation with (I believe ) your nephew. No matter what our political views I have the uptmost sympathy with people who are dealing with difficult family situations
