I'd hoped today would have given you an opportunity to manage a win (albeit at home where you seem to struggle - which is down to playing style & how they're prepared to play). A short time ago I'd thought you were well in the running for an auto or the title but the wheels have come off big style at the worst time of season.

So as you frequently post: Responsibility for that (also imo now) rests with one person & the confusion over his selections & laying style which mentally loses the players, which is when their attitude/desire (or lack of) results in how you played in a recent game - I've not seen today's shambles yet.

I think IH has run his race at STFC but he won't "go the journey" while you still have a slight chance, even after such a depressing run when it was within your hands. I hope your final para above comes soon for yourself & others.

I've now seen the brief Sky highlights online & for whatever reason your players didn't seem to be "on it" defensively allowing too much space around the ball.

For their winner it was alarming bearing in mind it was a side with promotion hopes in the 90 oddth minute.

I was suspicious about off-field problems flaring up because of a few things I'd noticed with the players that I'd posted on here that shows they aren't happy with something. Which could simply have been IH's instruction/tactics/decisions.

I also totally get how you feel about promotion, but you have to go for it. Your team can play good effective football for L2 as displayed earlier in the season...but then IH goes to other different styles that don't suit players as well or have good effects with results. I thought possibly he was catering to accomodate certain individuals that make a noise in the background & disrupt if things aren't going the way they want for themselves.

As I'd posted some time back the whole set up needs to be altered but you know more around that than I can pick up in media.

What players show & demonstrate on-pitch in games really says a lot about what's going on in the background. Tbf I think IH's behaviour & instruction also show frustration, and yes I know he's an utter fruitbat (which is why like him) but his hands are tied I think.

Spare a thought for Barrow who will go down imho, and rightly so. A season of absolutely crap recruitment, five managers, sadly going to pay the price. I don't think they will return anytime soon.
