Cov Promotion - A new perspective on an old topic

They don't have the pull that we had on promotion unfortunately. They'll probably go for someone like George Dobson or Shea Charles as their big signing.

He’ll be a Leeds or Man Utd charging under 16s 29 quid type. Was it 48 quid last season or something? It was too much for me to take the bairn in league game! Luckily the play offs were price matched throughout
Thats what i thought. Adults £30. Every other concession £29.50. Wanker.

I was talking to some outside the sol.at the playoff game. Awful set of arogant pricks. Seriously thought they were some type of super club

I never understand how they think we were lucky

The first keg of the semis was even apart from their mistake and the second leg was their inability to score and our resolute defending that’s not lucky that’s a game plan that worked

We also created more good chances than they did which just after putting them away is a pretty important thing in football
We wernt lucky against them....we missed loads of chances before in the home game before BDB scored and against Sheffield there was only one winner after we scored the equaliser

As soon as Sheff UTD scored we dominated the rest of the game. We completely took over

SCR will fuck them up, especially Ipswich and Southampton, who already have big wage bills. They'll all be having to keep wages/amortisation down to a pretty low figure unless they can generate a big profit selling someone.

Hmm ok. I keep hearing about SCR/ the new system, but I’m not entirely sure football media/ the footballing world has actually caught up with it yet - as I’m yet to really read about the impacts.

Is it a rolling thing? So clubs can front load?

No. Each season is assessed separately. The only rollover is that if you overspend, your cap is reduced in future seasons until it's cleared. At a stretch, you could say that allows front end loading, but it will hammer your ability to buy going forwards.

Go on then, with your experience, if you were working for Ipswich or Southampton especially - what would you do in their position?
