Played in L1 & Europe…

…for the same club. Can’t be very many players who’ve done that.

The slight possibility of a couple of our lads doing that got me thinking about who’s done it before.

Andy King at Leicester, Coady at Wolves. Any more spring to mind?

Be a few random players at Wigan

Played in Europa League 13/14 after FA Cup win and then League One in 15/16

There’ll be a few in that Wigan side that won the fa cup. Played in Europa league then got double relegated to league one didn’t they?

Checked Callum Mcmanaman did but he left them in the championship then went back 10 years later in league one

Beat you too it and was sad enough to find out who did

McManaman counts in two different spells for them as does James McClean

José Fonte. Played in League One for Southampton in 2010/2011, then in Europe for them in 2015/2016. He was truly a player at each level for Southampton as they came up the leagues - played 43 L1 games in 2010/11, then 42 Championship games the next season, then 137 games in the 4 PL seasons thereafter.

Must also be a few for Millwall, seeing as how they were in Europe in 2004/05, then League One in 2006/07.
