When asked whether the World Cup will be Xhaka’s ‘last dance’ with Switzerland, he said: “No, absolutely not. I can’t imagine that. As long as he’s in this kind of health, he’ll play as long as possible.”

“I also know that he’ll be moving on after the World Cup. I’m happy about that. He always has to be fit and physically at his peak.”

I do hope the part about him moving on after the World Cup has just been lost in translation and doesn't mean how it sounds.

To be fair the rest of the article doesn't refer back or question the intention so I'm fairly relaxed that he’s going nowhere

He's signed for Man City but we're not announcing it until after the WC.

I’ve decided I’m not going to take this over the words out of Granit’s mouth.

HOLY SHIT SAUCE PLEASE DON’T SAY HE’S LEAVING MY GODDDDD
 
In a taxi earlier this week and even though the driver was a Mag he was singing Xhaka praises saying what a superb player he was and getting him was a real coup. He had met him at his mosque and said he was very humble, grounded and polite, showing real interest in the people he met.

He also said he had dropped Le Bris and his misses at their house, and again he was singing his praises, though describing him as tiny and saying he looked like a schoolboy :lol:
