Craft Beer

One for the London heeds.....

Got a long weekend down there next month.

Staying in Hampstead and doing a day on it frequenting the pleasantries round there. Not expecting much in the way of craft, which is fine, as I'm aiming to get that fix on the Sunday. So, where would be better, Bermondsey or Hackney/Hackney Wick? Done Bermondsey a couple of times and pondering a change but didn't know what the latter would be be like, particularlyon a weekend. Seen a few youtube vids but first hand input rather than people just trying to nab likes and subscribers is always better.

Cheers in advance.

If it's brewery taps you're after there aren't many in Hackney Wick. There are plenty of breweries in Tottenham and Blackhorse Road, much more choice that in Hackney Wick.

Sorry to hear that. Any plans tomorrow? Drop me a message, I'll try and meet up for a beer pre or post match if you're out.

Thin, bland and pretty poor. Wouldnt buy again, and the 2 cans i have left could be looking at me when I open my beer cupboard for some time.

Dorothy Blacks from Home Bargains was far better in the cheap nitro stout pecking order. Need to try the Love Lane one from there as they know their way around a decent stout.
These are the people that will be voting for reform

Anyone on here going to Brew York birthday beer festival? Looks a great lineup with some breweries you won't find in the UK very often 👌🏻
No, but Brew York were probably the first brewery I got into. Think it’ll have been drinking Tonkoko in tilleys. After that I bought practically every stout I could. Empress Tonkoko being a definite highlight. Still got a pretty old can knocking about I’ll need to get down me.

Yeah I used to get their subscription box for a while but gave it up.

The festival this weekend is exclusively foreign breweries (other than their own beers of course) I'd never heard of half of them. 🍻

Anyone attending/attended the Newcastle Beer & Cider Festival?

Thinking about going tomorrow

Doing the Pier to Pier run tomorrow & Vaux normally have a couple of cans at the end specially made for it.

I say that, but I reckon it’s just new labels on core beer! Anyhow, I’ll be slurping one down Roker at about 11 tomorrow & think I’ll have a couple watching the match.

Bought the 7th anniversary can today to try. Will give the new brown all a bash too.

Got 2 of the 5 drink flights. So supped 10 of the 13.

No.2 or No. 5 my fave.

Where be you like

Does Vault City count as craft anymore? I'm not sure once something is on the supermarket shelves, it's really craft.

Anyways, they've got some decent ones out at the moment in Sainsies - Orange Creamsicle, Lil'Tropic and Jumbo Jungle Juice, the last of which is 8% and tastes like pop. Dangerous gear.

Aye, I’d say they are. Suppose it comes down to whether you like there beer rather than the label. They still seem to release consistently good big stouts.

Not a sour fan like.
